Hill Country is the invaluable treasure of Sri Lanka. Many rivers take their rise from this hill country and flow through the plains and reach the sea. Hill Country has the cold climate all the time salubrious. Green carpeted mountain slope tea bushes. Rising clouds, gleaming tea factories, ever green rain forests, wonderful water falls are extremely attractive and surprising.
Sri Lankan tea is world famous and is the main cash crops planted by British rulers in 1863. Before the plantation they tried coffee unfortunately all the coffee plants died of coffee pest. The entrepreneur James Taylor imported the first tea plant from Cathay and succeeded.
The tourists who miss visiting up country are unlucky and pathetic.
